A new kitchen costs tens of thousands. Refinishing the one you have costs a fraction — and the wood in most Arizona homes is better than anything sold flat-packed today.
Alberto's Cabinets is a furniture restoration shop. We strip, repair and refinish by hand: cabinets, entry doors, gates, built-ins and heirloom pieces. Same craft, whether it's a whole kitchen or a single door the sun got to.

The first thing anyone sees of your home.
Arizona sun cracks and bleaches exterior wood. We bring entry doors, gates and garage trim back to full colour and seal them against the heat.

Heirloom tables, built-ins and custom units. Structural repair first, then a hand-applied finish matched to the original.

Finishes
Four ways to finish the same piece. We walk you through them on the estimate, with a sample door so you see the difference in your own light.

New veneer and doors over your existing boxes, when the frames are solid but the fronts are past saving.

Colour driven into the grain, not painted over it, so the wood still reads as wood.

A second tone brushed on almost dry, catching only the raised grain and the edges. Depth without hiding the wood.

Controlled wear on corners and profiles so a new finish reads as a piece that has always been there.

Considerably. A replacement means new boxes, new counters, demolition and a kitchen you cannot use for weeks. Refinishing keeps the boxes and the layout, so the work happens on the doors and drawer fronts.
We restore what you have. Every loose joint, chip and crack gets repaired first, then the finish goes on. If a door is beyond saving we tell you before we start.
Yes. Sun damage on exterior wood is most of our door work. We strip the failed finish, repair the cracking and seal it against UV so it holds up.
